Hi, Trish! It’s always refreshing to learn of another woman’s passion becoming her success! Love how you put it: that you’re a woman with a disability, not a disabled woman! I’m a Marriage & Family Therapist moving into Coaching. My target market is helping Fabulous Couples who struggle with believing they’re still fabulous! That includes couples with invisible disabilities, like my M.S. Life surprises us with obstacles; being fabulous doesn’t end because of them! My skill and passion is to help couples get un-stuck when obstacles stop them in their tracks, not to help them with the obstacles, per se. I figure that’s a big part of honoring their togetherness.

I believe this is a very good idea,but a good ideal must yield ground to an even better idea. Persons with disabilities have faced challenges,which depressed hence lag behind in basic needs!
Personally,i do walk with the support of crutches,i got polio when i was five.beside never let my disability stand in the way of my ambitions,i still have difficulties,like accessibility of walk aid,mine is old and rusty…academically i had to stop at a certificate level,i live by ownin a single rented room,hence sharing toilet and bathroom is very difficult!
I dont have job yet hence still depends on helping hands!

Thanks a lot for high lighting issues affecting persons with disabilities, in my case i use a wheelchair for mobility, I have a diploma in applied biology from kabete technical training institute, and now for two years iv’e not gotten a job.I can work as a laboratory technologist in any research organisation. Please assist me however you can.

My name is Josephat Mwema From Kenya – Nairobi. i am assistant chairman of ACTIONS FOR DISABLED NOW organization a newly formed organization aiming at improving PWDs lives by starting business to them, creating jobs to the skilled one by opening various projects like workshop, beauty shops, counseling center, cheap computer collage for PWDs and many more. we are currently at the start up level. we are welcoming wellwishers and doners to make this a success. we have not developed a website of our own but you can reach us via GNED or call +254 711 455 796. this idea came to us after realizing that many Disabled end up on street or being a burden to their parents. they are pushed to this because of discrimination in job sector. instead of a boss seeing you as a person looks at what you cant do and replace you with your in capabilities. ACDIN wishes to show the entire community that disabled are people with different abilities. YES WE CAN. ACDIN is an organisation of all spheres of disability.
